Saturday night I'll start the prompts for February. The first will be on writing a mystery, about which I know very little. I expect that you know more than I do and can stop by then to leave suggestions.

I've left two links this week. The first, snapshot poem 30 january 02008, was written in response to the prompt, though it doesn't seem to answer the question.

The second, Why Must It Be Beautiful?, some of you have seen before; I think I may have even submitted it to TOPS before. But it answers the question (even with the twist) much better than I could do again.

A quick write for me on this one, though I'm sure I'll come back to this prompt again - it deserves deeper reflection. :)

Why

Fabulous prompt!

my first is an answer to this prompt, the second is something I wrote for a prompt elsewhere, but I thought I'd share it here too.

Paisley, I carried this prompt around with me all week. Why am I alive? I kept thinking. To do the same thing over and over? To raise my kids? To teach my students? To make meals? Nothing really answered that question for me so I decided just to start with those thoughts and see where they would carry me. Still not sure I answered the question but I think I came close at least for today.
