I love the salt girl poem. I thought about it all day yesterday. It made me first want to write something with a metaphor or simile, but somehow I ended up with something based on the sense of touch instead.
Something about the seashore that precipitates thoughts compressed scales of interaction.
Thanks to a friend whose email and the prompt inspired my hypothetical.
Congratulations on the new site -- and thank you for telling me about it. I loved the prompt and I have feeling we'll all be spinning in different directions.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to come back by and say that after managing to read about half of the poems linked so far, I am absolutely astounded by the quality and variety of response to this prompt - what an accomplished collection of poets have already arrived! One poem after another has taken my breath away. Lovely work, all of you, and especially to Mike & Tiel for creating this community!
I am very happy to have a prompt to think about during the week and an impetus to get something written by Thursday.

I am so sorry to have missed the first prompt. I did not know that you meant and therefore did not understand any of it.
Also I can not find your site and create a link. If you could email me the link, I will be able to use your button..By the number of poems posted, I seem to the only one that did not know what direction to take. I know how to make a link and did so for PT.
